Myk did the drawing, Lacey did the design. Awesome paper and envelopes came from Paper Source. Printing done by your friend and ours, Kinko's.
We know that some of you haven't recieved your invitation--we really have no idea what's up (sorry!). If you think that you're missing an invite, PLEASE send an email to us: lay-c [at] lay-c.com and we'll remedy the problem right away.

What's going on Aug 4-8 in Chicago
We are so excited to invite you to participate in our wedding celebration the weekend of August 6, 2005! If you can attend and are coming from out of town (or are in town and are curious about what we tell our out of town guests), we hope that this website will provide you with information regarding where to stay, how to get around, and what else to do while in our fair city of Chicago. We also will include other helpful wedding-related information. Read on, and we can’t wait to see you in August!
Much love,
Myk and Lacey
Our wedding will start at 6:30pm in the gardens at the Baha'i House of Worship (112 Linden Avenue, Wilmette, IL). Upon arrival, an usher will guide you to the correct location. The reception starts at 8:00pm and is held at the American Indian Center (1630 W. Wilson Avenue, Chicago).
Because pricing for Chicago hotels varies greatly depending on whether you book online or directly with the hotel. To get the most for your money, we encourage you to book a hotel room online. Good places to start are web sites such as www.orbitz.com, www.expedia.com, www.hotels.com, and www.hotwire.com. Online, we found hotels in the Chicago area ranging in price from $45-$179 and higher, whereas booking directly with the hotel is $119 and higher. If you have questions about these locations, feel free to email (lay-c @ lay-c.com) or call us (847.858.1473). One specific recommendation is the North Shore Skokie Hotel, skokieillinoishotel.com (847.679.7000). For other accommodation needs, please contact Delara Zargarpoor, our wedding coordinator extraordinaire by email at delaraz[@]aol.com or by phone at 847.903.2305.
The wedding is located at the Baha’i House of Worship, 100 Linden Avenue, Wilmette, Illinois, 60091 (at the corner of Sheridan Road and Linden Avenue).
From Interstate 94, exit Skokie Boulevard. Turn East on Lake Avenue and follow to Sheridan Road. Make a right (South) onto Sheridan Road and you will see the House of Worship on the right hand side of the road.
By El, take the Purple Line north to Linden, the last stop. Walk 4 blocks East, and the House of Worship is on the left.
Our after-wedding celebration will be held on the north side of Chicago at the American Indian Center, 1630 W. Wilson Avenue, Chicago, IL 60640 (at the corner of Wilson and Paulina). From Lake Shore Drive, take Wilson Ave. exit west (away from Lake Michigan) approximately 1.5 miles and the American Indian Center is on the right. Street parking only (Ravenswood Avenue, 2 blocks west of The American Indian Center, usually has plenty of parking).
While your presence at our event is the greatest gift you could give, some of you may wish to give us a wedding gift--thank you! We are registered at Linens ‘n’ Things (www.lnt.com). We also have a goal to buy our first home, so if you would like to contribute to our down payment fund, that is also greatly appreciated! For your convenience, we have a PayPal donation system set up right here. Thank you again!
While you’re here, you may wish to take advantage of other fun activities in the area. You may want to check out Millennium Park, the Magnificent Mile, the Sears Tower, or Navy Pier. Also happening August 4-7 is Wizard World Chicago, a large annual comic book convention. For tickets, go to www.wizarduniverse.com.
You may have noticed that you either recieved a "wedding" invitation or an "after-wedding celebration" invitation. Just to reassure you that we love you a lot, let us offer a little explanation: we are having a smallish wedding ceremony at the House of Worship and then a much larger group of people at our reception. At the wedding will be mainly close friends, some of their families, and our families. We would have just invited everyone to the ceremony, but Lacey has some anxiety about getting married in front of a lot of people ;) However, we definitely want to have a huge celebration afterwards and we would really love it if you can come. We defintely want to reassure you that the reception will be very special (we're saving some good stuff for then, so don't think you're missin' out!). We are so touched by all the friends in our lives, and we want to honor you! Hope to see you there.
